These lovely dogs are learning tricks!

Some are working on Advanced Trick Dog titles and some Novice. It’s the MOST fun to watch them learn.

Tricks may seem like frivolous training, and it’s true, no dog NEEDS to learn Spin, Back up, or Roll over. But trick training bonds you to your dog, helps hone your training techniques (it’s hard to teach advanced tricks!), and is amazing mental and physical exercise for your dog that you can do to help meet your dog’s needs.

Give your dog a hobby! Agility! Tricks! Scent Works! Lure coursing! You’ll be amazing how it positively affects their behavior!

Tricks is so fun! The dogs worked on Paws Up and the many ways you can make it more advanced!

Tricks training is:
🥳 Fun
🐾 Increases Body Awareness
⭐️ Helps you hone your training mechanics
🏆Gives you clear goals And can motivate your training
🐶Builds your relationship with your dog
🐕Many tricks can become useful life skills!
🙈Help shy dogs gain confidence!

With so many benefits, why WOULDN’T you do trick training with your dog??

There are also a TON of options out there, online classes, YouTube videos, and in person training, making it accessible for a lot of people.

Today was a big day I’ve been looking forward to! Sylvia and I had the honor to witness the culmination of months of hard work by dedicated pet parents and their lovely puppers!

We awarded 4 new AKC CGC (Canine Good Citizen), 7 new AKC Novice Trick Dog, 4 new AKC Intermediate Trick Dog, and 2 new AKC STAR Puppy titles!!

So proud of these doggos and their humans who’ve poured hours and hours into doing the work. Wear your ribbons with pride, you’ve earned them!!

Thank you, Caroline, for lending a helping hand (and for the Starbucks) today, and a HUGE thank you to the best boss ever, Sylvia! Here’s to lots more fun classes!
