🏃🏃🏻‍♀️🏃‍♂️15 years on and New Farm @newfarmparkrun is still pumping! 🏃🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

I am so grateful that on Saturday 19 September 2026 at 7am, the New Farm parkrun community and I will be celebrating its 15th anniversary!

Fun fact: this wonderful running community held Brisbane’s first parkrun event in New Farm on 17 September 2011, making it the second parkrun event to be held in Australia after Main Beach on the Gold Coast.

Fifteen years later, New Farm parkrun remains a community that is close to my heart (and my office!) and regularly attracts 400–500 participants every Saturday at New Farm Park.

If you’re keen to join this free parkrun, register via the link below.

I hope to see you there!

Not every run looks the same.

This morning I couldn’t run.

Shoulder surgery means I’m still on the sidelines for a little while longer, but that doesn’t mean I have to miss out on the community.

I walked Pepper and Twiggy, watched Elise head out with everyone, enjoyed one of the best sunrises we’ve had in a while, and finally got to meet Grace.

Some people inspire you through what they achieve.

Others inspire you through how they treat people.

Grace does both.

A huge thank you to everyone who made this morning so welcoming.

Recovery continues, but mornings like this remind me that showing up isn’t always measured in kilometres.

Sometimes it’s simply being there.

See you all back on the start line soon.
