Next up on our audition tour is Pacific Crest, whose audition season starts in less than a month, on October 18th! This season, they'll be hosting seven satellite camps across four different states, plus their full weekend audition camp in Diamond Bar, CA, and video auditions available for each section for anyone who can't attend an in-person audition. Their audition materials are available right now on their website, and there's no better time to start preparing than today! For more information about their or any other corps' audition materials, check out the 2027 Audition Information spreadsheet in our bio

@tyler_swoft_again got to finish his age out year with Pacific Crest this summer when he got a last minute call that they needed him to fill a contra spot for the final weeks of their beautiful DCI show “Irresistible”. They got the highest scores ever! (So close to making finals for the 1st time), and I was so blessed and thankful to be there! I finally finished putting this reel together on the last day of summer. What a great memory!

~ self critique ~
• left hand has week accents now that i’ve been focusing primarily technique
• doubles are crushed throughout the exercise
• more power/playing through the drum

~ self feedback ~
• left hand fingers need to stay on the stick
• crushing diddles all around, especially left hand
• at the slow tempo, think harder about rhythmic interpretation. its more open so it’ll be harder to place those notes
