The very first Zome 12 Shala in the making. 🛕 ✨

With full pride we are sharing some visuals of our @livitytemple crew preparing the modules for the next Geometric Temple.
Long days, hard work, sweat and precision makes this pre-build a beautiful process. This Zome will be 12 meters in diameter and 6 meters high, the largest structure build by @livitytemple so far.
All learnings of previous structures are here and now being put to the test.
Stay tuned to keep you updated with all further processes of the build.

Back in 1979, Asha Deliverance sewed her first geodesic dome on an old Singer sewing machine. 🧵 She finished it in time for it to become her second child's first home.

Friends wanted domes too, so she kept sewing, and in 1980 she opened the country's first retail dome company. When we visited Pacific Domes in Ashland, Oregon, Asha had stopped sewing: her team now fabric-welds the covers.

@pacificdomes

The domes shelter families, glamping sites, greenhouses, climbing structures, and events. ⛺ In 2013, NASA raised a 44-foot Pacific Domes shelter on the northern slope of Mauna Loa, Hawaii, to test some of the challenges of living on Mars.

We asked her about the frustrations of early dome builders like Shelter Publications' Lloyd Kahn. She explained that in the '60s people built domes out of wood, which meant sealing joint after joint. Fabric has made all the difference.

PHASE 01 — THE RESEARCH PHASE

Before we build, we’re studying structure types, premium builders, and the details that turn a unique stay into a destination.

From tiny homes and modular cabins to geodesic domes, yurts, and luxury glamping structures, we’re exploring what works—then narrowing in on the concepts that best fit the ALTDWELL vision.

The goal isn’t just to find somewhere different to sleep. It’s to create stays worth traveling for.

SEEK THE UNUSUAL. STAY DIFFERENT.
