the making of AFTERLIGHT - scroll for lots of easter eggs

18 months ago we set out to execute on what many could have considered a really stupid idea:

(1) write so many songs that a big enough collection of them really feel like me as a writer and artist, (2) learn a DAW from an extremely base-level of knowledge, (3) compose, play the instruments, record, and engineer/mix and master all those songs from start to finish with zero outside help, (4) weave them into a story and (5) make a movie to showcase the album and its story (cause y’all know you love watching your music these days). all with the time we set aside for it outside of our full time jobs.

the amount of learning we did throughout the process was unimaginable, but it was freakin fun too. this record will move us forever whether it smashes charts or hardly reaches anyone. we hope maybe it’ll move you too :)

p.s. we’re already back in the studio, and there’ll be more music comin from these pacific troubadours sooner than you may expect
