Where mountains meditate and souls find peace.

At dawn, Thiksey Monastery glows against the Himalayan backdrop as monks in maroon robes quietly gather through stone corridors, their footsteps leading to the prayer hall where butter lamps flicker and chants rise in unison; the deep resonance of horns and the shimmer of cymbals weave devotion into the morning air, while shafts of sunlight pierce the windows to reveal faces lost in meditation, and at the edges, novice monks mimic their elders, embodying the continuity of a tradition that has endured for centuries.

I started teaching photography when I was 23, and teaching has always been a big part of my journey.

I don’t talk much about shutter speeds or apertures.
I talk about stories, projects, the contemporary form of visual art, cinematic thinking, suspense and surprise and how sometimes a single image can change the way we see the world.

Over the years, I’ve had the joy of mentoring many photographers who later found their own voice in this industry.

After a 3-year break, I’m excited to begin this journey again.

If you want to learn photography beyond the obvious, join me. 📷
And do share this with your friends.

I focus on building your foundation so strong that you will find your own path whether it’s street, travel, commercial, or weddings.

I don’t use fancy words.
I make photographers.
