For many years, @pad_iub has been a dedicated partner in supporting the work of Indiana Legal Services.

We are grateful for this ongoing partnership and for the students who continue to choose to support our mission year after year. Your commitment and generosity are a powerful reminder that the next generation of advocates are already making an impact.

Yesterday evening, Benjamin had the amazing opportunity to speak with Phi Alpha Delta, a pre-law fraternity from IU. Benjamin spoke about his history with IU’s Maurer School of Law, his work with DCS, and work as an attorney and deputy prosecutor.

Benjamin also spoke about his campaign and why he’s choosing to run for prosecutor now. Why is it so important for a change in Monroe County, and what will be different from his office if elected.

Students got the chance to speak with Ben directly and have an open discussion on what matters most to them. Engaging with students is incredibly important to Ben and student life heavily impacts Bloomington.

We are so grateful for this opportunity and thank PAD deeply for helping organize this event. It was an amazing time, and we are very excited for future events to speak with the community and share the ideas Ben has for a more progressive Monroe County!

(Phi Alpha Delta does not endorse this campaign, and the event was an opportunity for students to engage with an IU Alumni and attorney).

Naomi Worth is the next member of our Class of 2028 highlight series. She just graduated summa cum laude from Indiana University Bloomington, where she majored in criminal justice and political science. Naomi was an active member in a number of undergraduate clubs and organizations, but it was her participation in IU’s Phi Alpha Delta pre-law fraternity, where she expanded her professional network and learned about a variety of legal careers, that she felt most at home.

Naomi spent her summer interning with a homicide detective from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, going to crime scenes and assisting with hands-on work that criminal investigators do on a daily basis. It was, as she describes, “the coolest experience ever,” and made her even more excited for law school.

Why Maurer?

“I chose Maurer because of its strong and prestigious reputation overall, but also particularly its excellence in the Criminal Law area. The program is full of exceptional opportunities and all of the faculty and professors I met were super welcoming, helpful, and supportive. When visiting, I fell in love with the community of Maurer and felt it was a place that would challenge me, help me grow, and help me achieve my goals alongside other passionate and like minded individuals. I am incredibly excited to become a part of the Maurer family this fall and am looking forward to the journey ahead!”

Welcome, Naomi! Check out the Bradley Fellows program once you get acclimated!
