🎾 Patience is the key to winning points! 🔑
Not every ball needs to be a smash 💥 Sometimes, the best decision is to wait for one more ball and find the right moment to attack.
🎯 Don’t rush the finish. Be patient, create the opportunity, and wait for the perfect ball to go for the winner.
💡 The goal isn’t to smash the first ball, it’s to finish the point at the right moment

THE VIBORA — BIOMECHANICS 🐍

The vibora is not just about the swing.
It’s about how each phase connects to the next.

1. GRIP
Australian backhand grip or Continental grip.
The Australian backhand grip allows us to generate more spin on the ball.

2. PREPARATION
High elbow. Neutral wrist.
Use the non dominant hand to guide the racket into the contact point.

3. FOOTWORK
Adjust your feet early to create the optimal position for contact.

4. TOWARDS IMPACT
Elbow extension, wrist adduction, and coordinated hip–shoulder rotation drive the movement towards the impact.

5. CONTACT POINT
The contact point is always in front of the body.
The height of the impact will depend on how far we are from the net and whether the opponents have moved forward to block. If we imagine a clock the impact will be between 1 and 2.

6. FOLLOW THROUGH
Allow the rotation to continue naturally while maintaining control of the racket.

7. FINISH
Complete the movement with controlled weight transfer and balance.

8. RECOVERY
Recover quickly to the net and return to the ready position.

Timing. Rotation. Control.

That’s the foundation of an efficient víbora.

Save it. Practise it. Refine it. 🐍

Your non dominant hand is more important than you think. 👋🎾

Place it on the heart of the racket to create an opposite force to the racket’s movement.

This helps you stay balanced and stable, maintain better control after separating your non dominant hand from the racket, and accelerate the racket while creating more control and precision in your ball.

Think of your non dominant hand and the racket working like a pinch. 🤏

Master your non dominant hand. Master your backhand volley.
