POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Thank you @kassinthestacks for tagging me in this! I didn't do the last slide (books I thought would be five stars and weren't) because I only wanted to highlight the books that earned five stars (or that have yet to prove they aren't)🩵 but if I tagged you, feel free to include the additional slide in your post!

Books I think will be 5 stars:

The House of Gardenias by Isabel Cañas
Monstrous Bitch by Eleanor Johnson
They Can't Burn Us All by Cathryn Kemp
Hungerstone by Kat Dunn
The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig

Books I thought would be 5 stars and were:

Beren and Lúthien by J.R.R. Tolkien
Cackle by Rachel Harrison
A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik
Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
Witchcraft by Marion Gibson

Books that were unexpectedly five stars:

Half a Soul by Olivia Atwater
The Familiar by Leigh Bardugo
From Below by Darcy Coates
It Came From Neverland by Cynthia Pelayo
The Warm Hands of Ghosts by Katherine Arden

I was absolutely not tagged in any of these but I've enjoyed seeing them all so I thought I would share mine anyways 🩵

My Ten Before the End of 2026:

The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig
The Enchanted Greenhouse by Sarah Beth Durst
Black Feathers by Rebecca Netley
The Atlas Six by Olivie Blake
Graveyard Shift by M.L. Rio
The Executioners Three by Susan Dennard
They Can't Burn Us All by Cathryn Kemp
The House of Gardenias by Isabel Cañas
Hungerstone by Kat Dunn
Monstrous Bitch by Eleanor Johnson

Neither The House of Gardenias nor Monstrous Bitch have dropped quite yet but they are two of my most anticipated releases this fall. The rest are from my physical TBR, which has slowly been growing a bit out of hand for my personal tastes. Yet, of course, I keep adding to it. If I fail at this and I only get to one of them, it's going to finally be the Knight and the Moth. I swear.

What is one book you are determined to read by the end of year?

I did tag some people who I didn't notice doing this yet but if you were not tagged, actually yes you were. Please do it so I can see yours too.

@goodscribesandgoodvibes and @litwithgabs tagged me in this trend without realizing I'm super boring. What you see here is basically all that I am (just a girl obsessed with fantasy, reading, and writing). But after pulling my own teeth, I found some random info to share that might not be well known.

I tagged some lovely accounts that I would like to see do this but really, everyone should consider themselves tagged. Full disclosure, I am terribly nosey and always want to know everyone's personal lore. Which means I have adored reading these and can't wait to see who else participates.

On the subject of being invasive, let me know if you are a lucid dreamer or if you are unaware. Or tell me your favorite memory surrounding coffee. Both are fascinating to me!

I was so lucky to read this book for work before it published, and I knew I had to get my hands on it once it came out. @pagesofb said: “Say Less” and handed me a copy today after picking up her own 🩵 I am so lucky to share our love of books together and have coffee with you on our Mondays.

If you guys want a captivating read about two sisters and their stories, motherhood and womanhood, pick this one up!

My favorite quote from one of Mere’s sections: “Trying to talk to [him], she thought, was like trying to cross a river without a bridge- always building the planks herself, always hoping he’d pick up a hammer and join her. But he never did.” -pg 95

Thank you @on_shais_shelf for tagging me with this challenge.
