We laughed, we cried, we studied, we graduated. 🎓💛🖤 I have so much to be thankful for from my time at the University of Iowa! We are on to the next chapters of our lives! I can’t wait for the road trips to come! #gawks #onceahawkeyealwaysahawkeye #class24 #uiowa

rowing,

it was never about the early mornings, ripped hands, hard workouts, wins or losses. It was always about the people. My people picked me up at my lowest, saw me at my highest and became my family.

I’m going to miss my people.

Thanks for being there with me through everything.

Love, emmey

4 years:

B.A. in psychology with a minor in international relations.
M.A. in sports and recreation management (almost😉)

There aren’t words that can express how lucky I am to have competed for the University of Iowa Women’s Rowing Team. 4 years ago, I tried a sport I knew nothing about let alone had ever competed for. Through the most physically & mentally demanding sport I have ever done, I made the greatest memories & best friends (and a business s/o @unbreakablefemaleathlete_ 😉) Thousands of hours spent training, competing, and challenging ourselves past the limit taught me one thing: we are a bunch of badass, strong-minded women who are capable of the world & more. (I also learned nothing in my life will ever be harder than a 2k!)

How lucky am I to have something so special, that makes saying goodbye so hard.

I am forever grateful for this experience, the bonds I have created, & cannot wait to see what my future holds❤️‍🔥

Next up: expanding Unbreakable Female Athlete, getting a doctorate, and finding a job😉
