On behalf of her family, it is with great sadness that I am sharing the news today of the passing of Marcie. Many of you know Marcie as the founder of Urban Barnhouse, but as those of us who knew her well we can attest, she was the founder of many successful vintage shops spanning 20 years in our community. In her own words, and thankfully so, she “flunked retirement” quite a few times and a new adventure would be born that would bring her love and passion for vintage decor to a new location that would always be amazing! Marcie was an incredible mentor to me and I will forever treasure her legacy of creativity and passion for all things vintage. I will make sure that her memory will continue on for many years to come as we bring the new Urban Barnhouse to you very soon!
We will have a memorial seating area dedicated to her and her beloved “Hygee” decor….creating a warm, cozy atmosphere and enjoying the good things in life, taking time away from the daily rush to be together with people you care about - or even by yourself - to relax and enjoy life’s quieter pleasures.
