I miss youuuuuuu Gram. Today you would have been 108 years old!!! 🎂🎉🎈🎊 A true gift of love 🎁

Although, I had and known about this painting since March, I wanted to wait and share on her special day… Shoutout to @paint_our_future and my bro for this beautiful painting that traveled 14,000 miles to America few months back. Derrick revealed it to the Oden family at Mom’s 75th birthday celebration. The family indeed was overjoyed to see her beautiful face done in a painted portrait. I can’t wait til my brother frames and hang it in his beautiful home. I’ll share when, he does. Thanks Will Green! You Rock for being so kind to think of your best friend D and put it together for him way across the sea.

Please continue to keep the #Oden family in your prayers 🙏🏾 bc our grieving is still fresh and we alllll miss her so much.,

Gram’s book is still available on @amazon #Amazon at Ducklings on Grandma Willie's Farm: A Children's Wildlife Book https://a.co/d/bPlCCAi #linkinbio

A Special shout-out to @howmnsk and @conserveourwild for making Gram the #worldsoldestlivingauthor of a #childrensbook about #ducklings You truly made her feel valued, life-full and Proud of herself in this lifetime in a #deafcommunity @thedeafcommunity not hearing well at 107 years old.

So…..I decided to get back into painting 🎨

It feels so good easing my way back into an old passion of mine.

I haven’t done any paintings, to include murals, since my time at Memphis College of Art in 08.

(I’ll post more photos as it progresses)

It’s SHOUT OUT SATURDAY!!

A BIG shout out goes to celebrity photographer Barry Morgenstein for sponsoring my Portrait Gallery Fundraiser & Silent Auction!!

Thank you Barry for helping raise awareness about homelessness among women veterans and their children.
=======================
More about Barry:

Barry has become one of the most sought-after photographers in the Entertainment Industry. Among the celebrities, he’s been privileged to photograph are Michael Jackson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Meryl Streep and Paul McCartney. What’s more, he was the official photographer for Howard Stern’s book, Private Parts, with more than 100 inside photos of Stern. This later resulted in being featured on E! Entertainment Television, in a one hour documentary on the making of Stern’s movie, Private Parts.

Barry’s career began when he landed a position as an assistant to the renowned music photographer Mark Weiss. Within two years, he was the top photographer at the agency and was shooting primarily concerts and studio sessions. Through this and building a magnificent portfolio and a reputation, he was able to found his own photography studio.
