I got this picture from Dustin a few weeks ago, and a helpful reminder from him yesterday.

When we sit in traffic we have 2 options:

we can give in to frustration, complain and become bitter. OR we can be thankful for the extra time in the car, look around and take in the beauty of our surroundings.

This made me think…if we’re in traffic for 10 hours a week, we can practice being frustrated for 10 hours…OR…we can practice looking up & out to see the gifts surrounding us…for 10 hours.

It’s not easy, but there’s freedom in recognizing we get to choose. Today I’ll choose to look up & out, to give thanks when I’m tempted to complain. Starting here, thank you @paitdust, for helping me rise above the noise and see the beauty that surrounds us.💛💛

What if it all works out? For Him February, a month to celebrate the author of love…we love because God first loved us. With the power of His unfailing, unending love, may we have the patience for all the things that have not yet bloomed and gratitude for all the things that have💛

I said: I’m not sure how we’re going to do this, preparing to give our girl away.
God said: Trust Me

It’s been a week and a half of seeing months of praying & planning unfold. From wedding dress shopping to bridal showers. I don’t think you’re ever prepared to give your girl away, the tears fall, releasing the fears, making way for the surrender. On the other side there is beauty, eyes and hearts open to see & celebrate the gifts right in front of us. We are so grateful for every one who helped make what seemed impossible more beautiful than we could have imagined. 💛
