Indonesian fast food in a hawker center @palapa.express.sg @palapa.sg! Saw that they had some interesting dishes so we had to check them out!

What we ordered:
🍗 Coriander Fried Chicken with Signature Lime Rice ($7.90) / Add-on Balado Egg ($1.50)
🍗 Grilled Chicken Indomie ($9.40)
*Each plate comes with1 veggie fritter, 1 fried tempeh, cucumber slices & sambal balado*

🍽️ Our Review 🍽️
What an interesting spot! Everything is prepared upon order.

Our absolute favorite here is the coriander fried chicken with lime rice! The fried chicken was seasoned well and super tasty, but the standout was definitely the lime rice - so flavorful with a tinge of tanginess! Our top recommendation!

While the grilled chicken indomie was not bad too, it didn’t impress us quite as much! The grilled chicken wasn’t as flavorful as the fried chicken. Indomie is always comfort food but the lime rice was more unique!

Overall, we enjoyed the food here - must order the coriander fried chicken with lime rice!!! It almost earned a perfect score from me, though I did find that it lacked some veggie options for a more balanced meal! 4/5 ⭐️

my fav spot whenever i’m craving for indo food! they were featured on the straits time in 2025, which was how i got to know and first tried their menu!

here’s their standout dishes
🍗 coriander fried chicken w lime rice
crispy on the outside, juicy inside with a really nice coriander flavour. my fav!! the rice is green from the use of thai lime leaves that has leaves a citrus flavour.

🍜 grilled chicken with indomie
indomie + grilled chicken is such a solid combo!! the chicken was nicely grilled and savoury, that pairs well with indomie!

🦑 calamari
lightly battered and crispy without being too oily. the calamari itself was tender with a nice bite

Finally got to try the legendary @palapa.sg after seeing it on my feed so often and it was worth the travel down!

We got Buddy Meal Set B which has two different carb options - indomee (like duh ofc indo cuisine needs this) and a special coriander fried rice.

🐔 Coriander Fried Chicken Rice 🐔
Rice doesn’t really taste like coriander (for those who detest coriander) - it tastes more like seasoned rice. Fried chicken was to . die . for, the skin was well seasoned and crispy while the meat was tender. It’s definitely freshly fried as the meat came off the bone nicely hehe.

🦑 Fried Seafood Indomee 🦑
Wahaha this was really shiok to eat as the seafood was well soaked with the batter and really crispy as well. Only qualm is that it may be a little jelat since it’s so fried hahaha.

I need to comment on the 🌶️ chili 🌶️ and how well it goes with everything on the plate. Need a little dip in the chili? Need to mix your rice in chili? Need a big spoonful of chili? Everything works because it’s so good - the right amount of spice and flavour.

SO CRISPY! wasn’t as spicy as i expected which is great for me 😋 idk how they did it but it was so fried outside, yet the chicken remained insanely juicy inside
their lime rice was SO FRAGRANT! it’s a MUST TRY

the chicken was so insanely tender, and flavourful! the char on the skin was perfect. if there’s one item you must try, its the grilled chicken!
