Recap: Western Michigan keeps the Victory Cannon in rivalry win over CMU:

This game truly came down to running the ball and the fact that Western had a 21-0 lead heading into the 4th quarter. Even with that lead, Angel Flores did lead CMU back into the game and had an opportunity to tie things with a Hail Mary, but Western learned from the Michigan game and got the interception to end the game!

A legendary coach of mine told me this story when I was playing college football, and it’s something that has stuck with me ever since.

There’s an old story about a Chinese farmer…

One day all of his horses ran away.

Everyone told him, “Aw, That’s so terrible.”

He said, “Maybe. We’ll see.”

A few days later, the horses came back but with even more wild horses.

Everyone said, “WOW… That’s amazing… you’re so lucky!”

He said, “Maybe. We’ll see.”

Then a couple days later, his son was training one of the new horses and fell off and broke his back.

“Terrible luck.” They said

“Maybe. We’ll see.” Said the farmer

Soon after, the army came through drafting every able-bodied young man.

His son couldn’t go because of his broken back.

What looked terrible ended up being the very thing that saved him.

The point?

Stop deciding that every setback is the end of the world.

You didn’t get the offer.
You lost the starting job.
You got injured.
You had a bad game.
Something didn’t go the way YOU planned.

You have no idea what that moment could be preparing you for.

Keep working. Keep trusting. Keep showing up.

You don’t know the full story yet. CONTROL WHAT YOU CAN AND TRUST GOD!

POST 200. 🤯🙏

When I realized this was going to be my 200th post, it made me stop for a second and think about how much has happened in such a short amount of time. I couldn’t think of a better post than simply saying thank you.

10 months ago, I created this page with a vision to use my experiences in football to help the next generation of specialists.

What God has allowed ATD to become since then has been an incredible blessing. 🙏

From college camps and our own camps, to group sessions, private lessons, relationships with coaches, and most importantly, the opportunity to coach and mentor so many young athletes.

All glory to JESUS CHRIST. ✝️ I’m incredibly grateful He has given me a platform to share my faith, knowledge and experiences with young men chasing the same dreams I once was.

Thank you to my wife for supporting me through the countless hours behind the scenes, and thank you to every player and family who has trusted me. I never take that opportunity or responsibility for granted. ❤️

MILLIONS of views in the last 30 days, hundreds of DMs, comments and likes is awesome, but the impact, relationships and people behind those numbers mean so much more.

And we’re just getting started…

Something BIG is coming soon that will allow me to help long snappers EVERYWHERE. 👀🌎

If I’ve coached you, trained you, answered a question, helped with recruiting, given you advice, or impacted you in any way through ATD, drop a comment below. I’d genuinely love to hear how I’ve helped you. 👇

Know a long snapper who could benefit from ATD? Tag them below, send them this post or share it to your story. 📲

And if you’re a snapper, parent or coach looking for help, my DMs are always open. Reach out anytime.

God is good. I’m grateful. There’s a lot more to come. 🙏✝️🏈

ATTENTION TO DETAIL.
