Just shy of 85 miles in 22hrs 35mins and coming in 4th position has just about blown my mind!

Amazing event put on by @epicenduranceevents24 can’t thank the amazing people behind the scenes. All the volunteers were so happy, helpful and supportive, we really couldn’t have asked for more!

A brutal and beautiful route that had everything steep climbs, stones, driving wind, rain and even me jumping into a prickle bush and cutting my legs to shreds to avoid an angry cow (with horns) 😂

So much love for everyone that sent me messages before, during and after the event, it means a lot. @palms585 the 🐐 smashing 55km on very little training due to an injury, even getting to the start line was unreal mate, let alone what you achieved out there. @commando.conditioned.hq the legend Luke for all the programming and support he’s given to get me to the start line, literally wouldn’t be doing any of this mad stuff if it wasn’t for you! Also a sick video of me out on the trails!! 😂 @life_balance_chiropractic for keeping me in good shape! My in-laws for being absolutely amazing and meeting me at check points, as well as my sister Sarah for helping me out of a really dark patch at the final check point.

Biggest thank you though is to my amazing wife @kticehurst and my two beautiful daughters. Could not do it without you putting up with my early mornings, ice baths and general tired and grumpiness when I’ve been for a long training run. Love you all so much ❤️

Reflecting on a 28 mile trail race over the Jurassic Coast on Saturday there is only one word for it, BRUTAL!

The event had everything, laughs, mud, hills, numerous falls (by me only one from @palms585), beautiful scenery and some lovely new potatoes at the aid stations!

Definitely the hardest event I’ve done to date but it was brilliant! Thanks @trailevents.co for putting on a superb event!

Bring on #beastoftheblacks in 2 weeks time!

Our fab fundraisers will take on the Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge this weekend!

Fundraisers could sign up for a range of distances from 10 km up to 100 KM, walking, jogging, or running to support local mental health support at @dorsetmind.

This #UltraChallenge is unique, covering the breadth of Dorset’s stunning Jurassic coastline.

As locals will know, the coastline covers many ups and downs, making this journey challenging for our fundraisers.

Please leave your kind words of encouragement in the comments below – as you may have seen in our stories, fundraisers have trained hard over the past months in preparation for this ultimate challenge.

Thank you to everyone involved for your support – every bit fundraised helps us to make a difference within the community.

Our fundraisers (donate links in their bios):
@jon.explores (100 km), @ty_temel (100 km), @tobykenneally (100 km), @rossduncansop (100 km), @amesha_ryan (100 km), @jesssicalousieerrington (25 km), @walklikethewind, @jordanbishop29 (100 km)

Aaron Keith (100 km) - http://ow.ly/mRIs50Omqxu

We know there are MANY more fundraisers – Leave a comment below if you’re taking part this weekend!

Please tag @teamdorsetmind on the day so we can continue to share your fundraising journeys.
