🎃 Simpsons Halloween Flash 🎃 in collaboration with @palmscoffeemcr we’re having a Treehouse of Horror themed week! Palms Coffee will be having plenty of Simpsons treats available all week whilst myself and @danidaltontattoo will be our flash!

The flash will be available to book any time but if they’re booked between the 26th-31st next week they’ll be at a discounted rate between £50-£90! Roughly between 2-4 inches (Arms and legs only) *All designs are repeatable*

Loved exploring @pollard_yard this week. It’s a ‘village’ of shipping containers at the back of Ancoats, home to a lovely community of creatives and micro businesses.

At the centre is the wonderful @palmscoffeemcr café which is a bit of an oasis. Thanks Rachel and Alex.
And thanks to Sash for making me feel so welcome into the Aladdin’s cave that is @vinylfetishes . What a super chilled vibe you’ve got going there.

Meet our partners: @thepalmsbakery & @palmscoffeemcr, Manchester.

We recently visited Alex and Rachel, owners of the amazing Palms Coffee.

1. Tell us a little about your business.

The bakery was founded in 2019 by Rachel and been based on Pollard Yard since 2020, predominantly making wedding and celebration cakes.

Rachel and Alex took over the coffee shop in spring 2025. We wanted to bring really great specialty coffee from a local roaster to the Yard, as well as serving our daily bakes.

We’ve been really lucky to build such a great rapport with our customers and regulars. We love being surrounded by lots of creatives in this area and are excited to see how it grows.

2. What is your most memorable coffee experience?

It has to be when we finally got set up with our new machines and Blossom as a supplier. We’d been using the old equipment left by previous owners whilst we got everything sorted and it was such a relief to be able to create really good coffee under Blossom’s guidance. Everything fell into place. We’ve since been featured on BBC Manchester and the MEN, it’s a privilege being able to showcase what Pollard Yard offers.

3. What does your morning coffee routine look like?

We’ve fallen into a lovely morning routine at the pod. Most days around 9.30am Lucy, our site manager and whoever else happens to be around (often our cafe mascot Blossom the Whippet), enjoy a coffee and discuss our weeks, the trials and tribulations of running a small business but also the wins that come with it.
