⛓️FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3rd⛓️DOORS at 8/SHOW at 9pm/$12 suggested/See ya at the show! 🤠

Chicago-based @crisis.actress_ crafts experimental pop that exists in perpetual evolution. At the heart of their sound are swirling keyboards, layered vocal harmonies, loops, and motorik guitar lines that propel their performances into unexplored territories. Guests are frequent, though the core ensemble includes Brooks Hannon on guitar and electronics, Max Hudson on synthesizers and vocals, Sam Pardo on bass and vocals, and Jake Keenum on drums. Their full-length debut, Return of the Puppet King, captures the band’s shared musical obsessions and commitment to experimentation. Recorded at the hatlowed Electrical Audio studio last fall, each track serves as a testament to their collective journey a dream realized through collaboration with countless talented friends who helped shape their vision.

@officialclairemusic is one of Chicago’s finest new songwriters. She works with calm confession, deep wit, and the details of a poet– all on top of big, swaying hooks. The Chicago Reader praised her “incisive, witty lyrics… a combination of sensitivity and straight talk.” She’s also a calm shredder of guitar– both gritty and delicate. Claire grew up in the Chicagoland area. Her music caught the attention of former Wilco member, LeRoy Bach. Bach is a member of her live band, (as well as Brooks Hannon & Jake Keenum from Crisis Actress.) Official Claire’s most recent studio offering, Midnight Dickbiter, features five remarkable new compositions.

@patoiscounselors : Based in Charlotte, NC. Friends and fans of music making more music.
We’ve performed with Protomartyr, Gustaf, Ceremony, Automatic, Young Widows, BODEGA, Ekko Astral, Public Circuit, Truth Club, Quintron, The Messthetics, Omni, Sheer Mag, Ibex Clone, Algiers.

@mostly_mesh : Bass heavy post-punk darkwave with campy references to 80’s horror, BDSM tinged lyrics, and the processing of trauma. Macabre love songs drenched in lust, sarcasm, and corn syrup blood. Mostly Mesh invites you to don your black lipstick and make out while a slasher plays in the background.

summers passing it's a death like gods exhale it's a subseason a place between places where the leaves on my street flirt with red and the cicadas sing as loud as you can take it. still and still and still drowning in cold beer hot love fresh fruit and sharp air. no one doing it quite like me and mine which is good because that kind of power would weigh down infinity.

If you live here in the great city of Chicago and have any interest in "The Arts" - it would be in your best interest to *GetToTheGig* tonight at Cole's.

This bill is #stacked !! Trust me. I'm a person of my word.

We love multiple fliers. They're both beautiful. We love music and sound. Its all good stuff. Come on out. You should take a break from dwelling on how awful humanity is, and come move your body a lil bit. Soak in some sonics. Allow yourself some enjoyment.

Ticket link in the @crisis.actress_ bio or get em at the door like a cool kid.

Flying Saucers Are Real!
