From the sketchbook of one of our favorite artists and OG ad man, @bob.lenz.14289 Bob also sketched the first incarnation of the @palmyinn logo. Link in bio! I’m slightly obsessed with Christmas ads. It’s a time when a proper little story is embraced, and there’s a collective agreement between advertisers and audiences that we all want to get a little sentimental. In fact, my love for great holiday commercials was a big reason I got into the industry, so getting the chance to steer this film for the @uspostalservice, one of America’s most beloved brands was an incredible privilege. A huge thanks to the creative geniuses @saschapiltz @marinabeldi @fimedici @vicparizzotto for trusting me to bring their concept to life on another amazing collaboration. Shoutout to Greg Bedard and @bensharpe for their incredible leadership on a project of this scale and complexity, keeping everyone focused right to the finish line. To @palmyinn and @venzeg , the incredible producing team who navigated the twists and turns of this project so gracefully. And lastly, a huge thanks to @2percenttoomagenta, who truly is the most incredible VFX creative director you could ever find and the ultimate right-hand man. Foreign Affairs recently helped @storiesfilms bring to life their new film for @nzz , the most awarded newspaper in Switzerland. Working closely with director Tobias Fueter and his vision, we used original titles from NZZ articles, press photos and videos to show, like a collage, how the different topics are connected to each other - all through the visual device of a text line break The focus is on the high quality of journalistic craftsmanship, which is crucial for the credibility of the newspaper and trust in its reporting. Because real journalism is more important and urgent than ever in these times of wars, social inequalities and dangerous technological developments.
