10 years ago today we lost my biggest (drag) inspiration and felt it was appropriate to come out of my hiatus to celebrate 💜

Huge thank you to @see.paz for nominating me for @windycitytimes “30 Under 30.”
The ceremony was on June 5th, and I wasn’t able to be there because I was busy being Puck up at American Players. So I had to find someone to stand in for me—someone who truly reflects the values of community and could carry the message that it takes a village. The choice was immediate: @nathanielrkelly and Monica Kumar-Ross, president of @sdc_chicago

And to top it all off, @whereiscaden was also recognized that night. Seeing both of our names honored made the whole experience feel even more meaningful. 💛🌟

10 Years (swipe thru to see me grow from 2015-2023)

That’s how many years it’s been since I started drag. April 2014 I participated in my community college’s drag show as Eleni Mestanza and while that name didn’t stick, my love for drag sure has. I have a lot of people to thank for getting me to this point. To my mom @flok1963 , thank you being the reason I am who I am today and always allowing my creative spirit to flourish. To my drag mom @zalikanyc , without you I don’t think I’d be as polished as I am today without your guidance and undying support. To my Tumblrs Drag Race Sisters, thank you for giving me a community when I was just a twink with a makeup brush and a webcam. Without yall, I wouldn’t have the love for competition and performing I do today, to my NCC baddies @lenny_mercury_ , @nikolai416 (yall let Eric and Kat see this too lol), yall convinced me to take the jump and so I literally wouldn’t be here without yall, to my Pittsburgh drag community, thank you for giving me a home to buckle down and nurture my drag around such inspiring talents and kind hearted performers. I will always rep Pittsburgh drag til the day I die. Lastly to my partner Christian, you have shown me what true love was always meant to look like and that has made me truly the best version of myself I’ve ever been and I love you forever and a day. Drag has been my artform for 10 years and I truly am only getting started. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me and honestly, prepare to get sick of this face cause I am going to be everywhere one day, thanks to yall ❤️
