This month I finally got to fly out to Stone Haven for an editorial, and I left even more convinced of something I talk about often with my couples: Your venue matters. Not because it has to be the most expensive or the most popular, but because architecture, scenery, and thoughtful design play such a huge role in how your photos and films ultimately feel. The cinematic quality people are drawn to doesn’t come from just one thing. It’s the combination of beautiful light, intentional design, strong architecture, and landscapes that create depth, atmosphere, and scale. As photographers, we’re always chasing emotion. But the spaces where those moments unfold help shape the story, too. I’m incredibly lucky to have a job that takes me to places like this and reminds me over and over again just how much beauty there is to discover.
