I wasn’t in Sydney when the Semi Finals aired last Sunday, so some of my family and friends filmed themselves watching from home at the same time I did 🥹

I am the luckiest person to have such a beautiful whānau and extended whānau supporting me through this journey. Despite the Finals result not going my way, I’m so happy with how it all turned out, and I genuinely couldn’t have gotten through this experience without my people behind me - and that includes YOU! 🫶

Hey, I’m Taylor 👋 We all know about one Taylor’s ‘Eras’. Well, I’ve had a few ‘Eras’ of my own (and errors, tbh 🥴).
But, for my story, I’m calling them ‘Chapters’.

Whether you’ve met me through @thevoiceau, or need a quick refresher, here’s the very condensed music journey that led me to that Blind Audition.

➡️ ➡️ ➡️

#thevoiceau #thevoiceaustralia #blindauditions

CHAPTER 1 - A very dramatic and Disney-MJ-and-Shirley-Temple-loving toddler Taylor was singing and performing around the house long before she knew this would become her life. She was a bit bossy too 🤭 (sound on! 🔊)

CHAPTER 2 - Little Tay Tay, with her enormous mane of hair, started training in singing, dancing and acting, and was already performing on stages both in Australia and the US. She also started writing the cutest songs alone in her room. Still bossy too! (sound on! 🔊)

CHAPTER 3 - Self-conscious teen Taylor hit puberty HARD. Between that and orthodontics, her voice changed a lot, and she had no idea how to use it. She became too scared to sing and completely lost her confidence. With her dad’s help, she slowly found her way back. She also started writing poetry instead of lyrics as her outlet. (sound on! 🔊)

The story will continue in the next post ✌🏼
