What a wonderful week away in Wales with my sis Pam at @fforestgather festival 2023, where we were teaching a nature and wool craft workshop: the kids (& their grown-ups) did a brilliant job with their rainbow sticks, nature weaving, stone wrapping and PomPom making. Have a little swipe through to have a look… ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I also thoroughly enjoyed ably (🥴) assisting my dear friend Amanda’s @amandabanhamceramics needle felting and @woodlandpackcompany Fran’s cuttlefish and clay jewellery workshops. Sunday Sunday… Went to see EMPIRE OF LIGHT at the Curzon, 📽️ woah it’s good. Have you seen it? Happy International Women’s Day sisters. I would love to hear who are your inspirational women? I’m up early to head to Wales to the creative retreat at GLOW at @fforest with @coldatnight and other inspiring creative women (tagging more) -I shall miss my boys, it’s been a trying week for our family.... our boys need support too, big love to you all x ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ On Sunday last week I went on the #March4Women, with my youngest son and my husband - as we stood and watched the speeches in Trafalgar Square, I turned to watch my 13yo son as he smiled and laughed at Sue Perkins introducing the speakers and performers - and then together we stood, myself moved to tears by the passionate and commanding #NazmaAktar - Nazma started working at a garment factory in Bangladesh at the age of 11 and campaigns to end the violence against women in the fashion industry - what really moved me the most was the impact this speech has had on my 13 year old son - our children are after all, the future - and it's people like Nazma who can continue to inspire boys and girls to call for safe and fair working conditions for both men and women (and furthermore, to consider who made their clothes). x ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Happy International Women's Day. #pressforprogress ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #iwd2018 #InternationalWomensDay #Whomadeyourclothes #FashRev #globalwomanhood #FashionIcon #EthicalFashion #sustainableicon #london_by_incredibusy #littlestoriesofmylife #design4areason ⠀⠀⠀⠀#sgiew #beboldforchange #fromwhereistand #letequalitybloom
