I was up all night with a fever (like everyone else in my house). So, today was an EASY opportunity to say myself, “I’m sick…you don’t have to train today. It’s ok to abandon the week’s goal. Good effort anyways”…

And don’t get me wrong, sometimes being sick forces that…but what if we tweaked our mentality?

What if we use that OPPORTUNITY (yes, opportunity) to SEE WHAT YOU’RE MADE OF?

What if when we’re sick, or working insane hours, or on vacation, or any other non-ideal circumstances we said,

“Let me use this unfortunate circumstance to see WHAT I’M MADE OF and what I CAN DO when the chips are down!”

I can assure you, you’ll be glad you did. I could have easily said “you have a fever, you don’t need to train…”

Or I can NOW say…

“Remember the day you had a fever and you STILL squatted 405x10 for the third day in a row? Way to OVERCOME. Our bodies are STRONGER than we think”.

Since I chose the latter, I’ll now remember this day of training for a very, very long time. #seektodomore
