Slowly getting back into my gym groove. Small strides, a little sweat, and some very cheeky motivation from @panderapparel . These undies are doing the heavy lifting for now. 🍑🥵

september was a beautiful and sometimes painful blur.
navigating a lot of newness.
getting rid of what doesn’t work to make room for what does.
making hard decisions.
locking tf in.
dealing with heartbreak.
and the rage and anger that came along with it.
but also so much dancing and friends and love and softness and SO MUCH new opportunity. So much.
my bday is october 7 and it can’t come soon enough.
this one feels big and significant and i’m so excited.

Checked into our friends’ place for the weekend and was immediately greeted by management. 🐈‍⬛✨

Dressed formally in black and white, she wasn’t especially warm, but she was very professional. 💼👀

She kept a close eye on us getting ready for M.E.A.T., then side-eyed us hard when we stumbled back in after hours and tore into McDonald’s 🍟 while she sat there daintily eating her Fancy Feast. 😾🍽️

Her eyes rolled again when we came home from drag brunch 💄and a hot walk through Market Days ☀️and polished off the other occupants’ cookies and Coke Zeros.🥤🍪🙄

Some days she wasn’t accessible, but she still ran the show from the primary bedroom. The only proof of life was the lump under the covers that would shift every so often. 🐈‍⬛🛌

Occasionally she’d grace us with her presence just long enough to roll her eyes and walk away, making sure we weren’t destroying the place.😼✨

She was key to the weekend. It was comforting knowing she had her paws 🐾firmly in charge of the household while we came and went from martinis 🍸 , dance parties 🪩, dinners🍕, and brunches 🥞with our favorite people in some of our favorite places. The ones that still make Chicago feel like a home away from home.❤️🏙️

I’m sure she got tired of our shit and the endless Sex and the City episodes. 📺But maybe she grew a little fond of us anyway.🥹

After a final night out, with just hours left before checkout, she came to say goodbye. She let me hold her. She purred. She actually cuddled.🖤

We left exhausted but happy and grateful for the friends who let us live under her judgmental eyes for a few days while they were away, for the time with old friends, the new ones, and the surprise run-ins in between. 🫶

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Will definitely be back.🐈‍⬛✈️
