I am currently sitting in Heathrow Terminal 3, about to board a flight back to Boston, awaiting the hour long drive home to Rhode Island. London, you were so good to me. You gave me the picture perfect fantasy that I had always dreamed about living here. It was an absolute privilege to call this beautiful city home for almost two years and to attend the LSE. However, meeting the amazing people that made my experience the absolute best-that is the ultimate blessing, one that I could not be more thankful for. Friends became family, family became even closer, and countless great memories were made-from walking down the streets of Kensington with AIFS in 2023, to grinding in the library with no AC throughout summer of 2026. I’ve met people from all over, traveled to so many different places, and gained a new perspective on life and the world, one that cannot have a price put on it. Uprooting my entire life and moving to another country and continent has been the most terrifying, ambitious decision I ever made. It was also the best one. It has been a pipe dream of mine to move here and study at the LSE. When I first came to the UK, I promised myself that one day I would study abroad here. Once I did that, I promised that I would live here for more time. And you know what, I did just that. I have built an entire new life and world in the UK. My time here has been so precious, and I really hope I didn’t take any second of it for granted. I don’t know where life will take me now, which is scary, but also exciting. Whether it be back home, in a new city, or even another country, I know that my entire future has been changed after living in London, and for the absolute best. I have never felt more myself in this place, and I feel like I grew up a whole lifetime during my short stint here. This city will forever be with me, it’ll always be home, and a piece of me will remain edged into the banks of the Thames, until I leave this planet. London, I love you forever and always. To the best year, the best school, the best place, the best friends, the best family, and the best memories! Oh, and HAGS! (Kinda) ❤️🇬🇧🦫
