I had high hopes for this book. It’s my favourite film out of the series and it definitely did not disappoint on the page. I physically did not want to put it down. There’s something about The Hunger Games books that completely immerses you into their world.

Katniss and Peeta’s growing relationship is much more complex to read than to watch and it pains me how much they’re both willing to sacrifice themselves to save the other.

Finnick Odair has always been one of favourite characters, who deserved so much better. I’m not emotionally prepared for Mockingjay.

Haymiych Abernathy is such an interesting, compelling character. Finally we got a chance to read a little bit about his games and now I’m even more scared to read Sunrise On The Reaping!

Johanna Mason my favourite girly. That’s all I have to say.

Plutarch Heavensbee is such an interesting grey character and if there is one thing I LOVE, that’s a well written grey character.

President Snow is an incredibly well written villain, every time he shows up I have to remind myself he isn’t real.

Wiress, Beetee & Mags were all such great additions to this book and I really enjoyed reading about them!

Overall I absolutely loved Catching Fire and I’m in no way ready to finish Mockingjay. I would recommend this book to everyone, if you’re like me and are only getting around to reading them or thinking about reading this series, definitely do it!!!

This series has been the most enjoyable read I’ve ever had, I really didn’t want it to end!! After just finishing Fire Night instead of posting individual reviews I thought I’d do a collage of some sort :)) I honestly wish I could read them all over again for the very first time, you get so invested in each of the characters and the world of Thunder Bay!! The only thing I hope for is in the future maybe a book that revolves around Maddox 🤞🏼 I would recommend this series to anyone who will listen but also anyone who enjoys dark romance <33

Happy Sunday ☀️! First off, I just want to say I had such a lovely time reading this book and chatting with all the lovely people tagged. You all are awesome and made this really fun!💙💙💙

*REVIEW* I was so excited for the fake fiancé storyline because ohh I’m a sucker for those types of rom-coms. While I overall enjoyed it there were definitely things that fell short for me.

I was genuinely so happy that the main character was Indian and her name was Daisy Patel (I’m a Patel too!) and this was an #ownvoicesbooks . I was ready to relate to her and I definitely did on the whole meddlesome aunties front haha. 😂Unfortunately, Daisy was kind of annoying at times for me. I mean this girl can really hold a grudge, and for ten years! Liam is dreamy and I definitely find his confident personality attractive. I love a love interest who wants to be adventurous with you and knows what they want.

The date chapters were so fun to read because you could tell they were starting to like each other and connect on a deeper level. That’s when I really felt like there was chemistry between the characters and not just general annoyance about their past.

My issue was that the conflict-resolution portion of the book happened a little too quickly and easily in my opinion but maybe that’s the point and I should take it for the cheesy romance book that it is?

Definitely read this if you are looking for a quick rom-com book! I definitely have my eye on this author and will check out her books in the future. ☺️
