Saturday, August 1 is the fourth annual stationery store day ride! It’s a great way to support local small businesses, ride through six different quadrants and chat with other pen and paper nerds! We meet at 12:30 PM at @paperepiphanies and then after some shopping at 1:15PM, ride at a gentle pace to @ecrumodernstationer. We then head downtown to @oblationpapers (where sometimes we get to try out the letterpress!). After we head up north to @pdxrockpaperscissor where Kevin always has some fun goodie for us while we stock up on the best gayest card selection in town. This year we’re adding another 2 miles to @reggiespdx in Kenton, the only stationery store run by a dog. At the end we have a stationery swap and have some beverages, this time at Reggie’s. Total ride is about 12 miles, gentle pace, bring a lock for stops!

Why not ride and look at Beautiful Stationery! 📝🖋️✒️🖊️ Saturday, August 1st is about appreciating your local stationery stores for @stationerystoreday and for the fourth year in a row we're doing it again! Meet at @paperepiphanies at 12:30PM and we’ll ride to local stationery stores. Bring a lock for stationary stationery stops (see what I did there?)

Meet other papyrophiliac folks (lovers of paper) on a casual ride around Portland to visit different small stationery shops- over the 12-mile ride we will go to @paperepiphanies @ecrumodernstationer (south waterfront) @oblationpapers and @pdxrockpaperscissor and new addition @reggiespdx.

There are little passports to fill out and if you are ambitious and want to bike up a hill you can hit @papercaperlo and @village_cheer and/or the PDX airport PIPH before the ride to get extra stamps in your passport.

After we pet the pretty paper and pens, we’ll end at a location with plenty of tables and room (and food, vegan and GF options) to test our new wares. Bring stationery items you’d like to swap or show off.

Summer Postcards Vol.1

it’s been quite the time of change for me and my pod family. We are divesting from our possessions, our home of the last 10 years and one member of our pod will begin living in his own space soon. 😭😭😭🥹🥹🥹 life is life-ing.

I have been interning for the last year as a mental health counselor at a community health clinic, and I have LOVED it. The work, the coworkers, the rhythm of work, the application of my own hard work and studies and healing, the clients I am serving. It’s HUGE for me, and the transformation is real. I’m so honored to serve my community home town in this way for the last while.

I've been an after-hours artist, a part-time artist, and a full-time artist. I've had a studio in my bedroom, in an extra bedroom, outside the house, and now I have a studio-gallery. I've done festivals and pop-ups. Schlepped and schlepped. I've hung art at restaurants and coffee shops. I've done dozens of commissions and I've done big commercial projects. It's great being my own boss with no one telling me what to do. But also -- no one tells me what to do. I have to (try to) figure it out and it's all a big, ongoing experiment.

This year, my strategy is to try to be everywhere all over Portland. I am partnering with businesses, events, and locations that I love and that are beloved by many Portlanders. I always hope you'll come into my gallery, but I hope you'll enjoy seeing my work around town, too.

Luckily, PiPH’s PDX shop has everything you need. The perfect artist‑made cards, stamps, and a giant (BRIGHT PINK) mailbox to send mom a card before you board. You really have no excuse.
