🚂 En route to 🇧🇪 with the boo for the annual Xmas pilgrimage (11th edition!) to the land of Stoofvlees, actual 𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬 beer, proper frites, and so so so so much more; but most of all, it’s the cozy family quality time embracing the gift of their welcoming warmth and reciprocating that in my acts/expression of love toward them. So grateful, I really hit the lotto with so many areas of my life, and none of that is lost on me. Back to Berlin on the 28th. xoxo

Henrik Ibsen writes about truth. About the lonely figure who sees the contamination spreading and refuses to stay silent. But what happens when the truth-teller is not a respectable man in a coat and hat, but a body that is already marked as excess, as waste, as filth? What happens when the truth is not about poisoned water but about the poisoned idea of ‘the people’—who belongs, who is pushed out, who is the enemy? And was Ibsen ever truly a feminist, or was he simply watching women drown in their own stories?

AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE is a spoken word concert, a sonic contamination, a broken transmission. Voices glitched, distorted, looping. Spoken word and sound interwoven, unstable, resisting. The theatre keeps playing. We keep playing our roles. The scapegoat, the exile, the unwanted guest. The ones who should not be here, speaking the words we should not say.

March 8 is not about flowers. It is about bodies in the streets. It is about the ones who do not get to prepare for what happens next. It is about us. It is about right now.

This has been an erotic dream of ours during our restless nights:
A carnal union between Berlin’s electrifying 𝐇𝐎𝐌𝐎𝐃𝐑𝐎𝐏 and Parisian chic 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐔𝐒. We’re bringing our love to life in London, at Dalston Superstore! 𓊆ྀི❤︎𓊇ྀི

@homodrop and @w_i_t_h__u_s are like your two cousins sneaking out for a smoke at a family dinner.

For this very, very special occasion, we’ve gathered the best team! ˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ Amazing performers like @thanthefreak and @titillatingg plus London-based DJs to guide us: @itsryanlovell & @tristantyom ; @msg_ldn and @jeon__q

In our suitcases - somewhere between the thongs and dental floss - we’re of course bringing residents from both crews. Expect an exclusive back-to-back set from the wild aunties - 𝘰𝘰𝘱𝘴, 𝘥𝘪𝘷𝘢𝘴 - of both collectives: @julie_desire_ and @cheriii.homodrop plus sets from moi and a b2b between @cpa.440 0 and @marso10c !!

Lepo vabljene_ na odprtje razstave Trans(myth) v sredo, 21. 8., ob 19. uri!
Trans(myth)
21. 8.–26. 9. 2024
Umetnica_: Cat Jugravu
Vključuje dve razstavi: Trans(myth) v Galeriji Škuc (21. 8.–26. 9.) in Trans(myth) Me Baby One More Time v Kinu Šiška (10. 9.–11. 10.), ki jo spremlja rave-performans z istim naslovom (10. 9.). To odraža ciklično izginjanje trans* in kvir arhivov, medtem ko sodelovalna narava projekta poudarja odpornost in ponovno pojavljanje teh pripovedi.
Več o razstavi: https://www.galerijaskuc.si/
Program Galerije Škuc podpirata Ministrstvo za kulturo in Mestna občina Ljubljana.
