I loveeee Chinatown. I used to avoid it because I thought it was touristy, but it's actually so fun 🥹♥️ Places visited: @soonandsoonsouvenirshop (@papersoncoffee, @toyou.sf), @onwaverly, A&A Bakery #sfchinatown #sffoodie #sfthingstodo #sfcoffee #bayareacontentcreator

“Soon and Soon” has reopened its doors in Chinatown. They’re a hole in the wall coffee shop serving coffee beans from China. Moreover, they’re the only other coffee shop in San Francisco rooted in Chinese culture.

I had the pleasure of getting drip coffee roasted by @papersoncoffee. The aroma is amazing and enough caffeine to brighten up my morning.

They have a parklet stool seating which is a good spot for people watching.

@papersoncoffee somehow adopted another employee who likes to do her own thing, shows up with too much coffee, and still sometimes forgets to say “corner” 😭

But every time I’m there, I leave feeling very loved and supported. Thank you for always welcoming me back and giving Camonn a little home there.

I’ll be popping up at Paper Son 3 times this October with some new fall drinks I’ve been very excited to share

Oct 8 • 11–3pm
Oct 13 • 8:30–3:30pm
Oct 30 • 11–3:30pm

Come hang out with me at PaperSon 🤎

Last week we had our first Chen&Coffee x @camonn.coffee collab popup at Paper Son! It was tight squeeze fitting both behind the bar but we made it work! We hope you guys got to enjoy the pourover x cold brew cold foam combo! We’ll try to run it back again at Paper Son soon!

In the meantime I’ll be back at @papersoncoffee tomorrow from 8a-3p! Still got the same lineup, plus a funky Colombia blackberry + wine yeast conferment roasted by my buddy @kotarocoffee in Sapporo! Got some retail available too!

📍paperson coffee + tano, san francisco, ca

🥐 coconut candy chocolate croissant: The filling has consistency of almond paste used for almond croissants, meanwhile the young coconut flavor blends well with the chocolate. Usually, chocolate is the selfish main character but the young coconut held its own and did not disapppoint. I loved the candy glaze texture inside. 4/5

I knew I should have woken up earlier for the salt bread... 😅 because of course they were sold out before I arrived.

THANK YOU @soonandsoonsouvenirshop for the tasty morning!

Coffees (buddies and I tried all three as pour over) were all unique, distinctive flavor profiles, not commonly found, even in pour over circles! Well executed @alexjpong

Pastries were delicious as always, thank you @banhmaker @toyou.sf

And thank you @papersoncoffee @misterjius for this awesome collaboration. It’s a small spot but the location is absolutely fantastic (see pics 2 and 3 and 5 for the view).

Excited to see where the curated selection of unique roasts go next 👀

📍Paperson Coffee x Tano - San Francisco

I went to @papersoncoffee and @tano__sf for some coffee + pastries! They’re located downtown in FiDi and you can get coffee/other drinks from Paperson and the baked goods from Tano, and both are in the same establishment.

Coffees: Passionfruit espresso tonic, flat white w/ pandan syrup

Tano pastries: ube salt bread, hojicha cookie, black sesame cookie, garlic kouign amann, ube salt bread, and guava butter mochi.

I love carbonated specialty coffee drinks so the passionfruit espresso tonic was definitely up my alley. The baked goods were all really good, but my personal favorites were the guava butter mochi, garlic kouign amann, and ube salt bread. The butter mochi had such a nice chewy texture, the garlic flavor was super strong from the butter, and the ube cream was so good paired with the fluffy bread.
