Intentionally minimalist, chic and cohesive. Your venue will heavily influence the overall feel and look of your wedding day. For L+C we used a palette of vibrant greens and silvers with black and white accents to compliment Sir Denys Lasdun's visionary brutalist architecture. We used metallic cafe style table numbers, silver coupes for floral arrangements and silver envelopes that contained silver almonds (doubling up as a place name and favour). Using metallic welcome signage in place of the normal menu placement and a table plan of engraved sheet metal. All fonts used by @paperstoriesco were kept very understated to compliment the modernist Lasdun logo. This has to be the best Hinge advert we’ve ever seen. Annabelle Hoy matched with JC Stewart on Hinge back in 2019. Their second date was the next day. Their third the day after that. Seven years later, they celebrated their wedding beneath Sir James Thornhill’s painted ceiling at the Old Royal Naval College, a room so extraordinary that when it was completed in the early 18th century, it was considered too beautiful to actually use as a dining hall. Captured exclusively on 35mm to perfectly encapsulate each moment in time, flicking through each image feels like we’re there again. I feel so lucky to be able to look back at these moments, we had the most incredible day, surrounded by people we love most, and honeslty I wouldn’t change a thing. If I could give one piece of advice for any couples getting married, it would simily be enjoy every second! The day goes by so fast, don’t get caught up in perfection. I’ve been waiting to share more from P&K’s beautiful day back in May. Let’s start with the ceremony. P&K wanted a celebration that felt deeply personal. They gravitate towards colour, collect beautiful things, and have created a home layered with texture, vintage pieces and thoughtful details. Rather than designing a ceremony space, we recreated that feeling. Sumptuous draping. Sculptural florals. Vintage tassels. Joyful colour. A setting that felt warm, intimate and unmistakably theirs.
