From Coach Ziggy to Coach Panzani: "Football has a beautiful way of reminding us that victory isn't always measured by the final score.

Today, England may have advanced, but DR Congo captured the hearts of millions.

For a nation that has endured decades of hardship, resilience, sacrifice and unwavering hope, stepping onto the world's biggest stage was never just about football. It was about identity. It was about pride. It was about showing the world that the Congolese spirit cannot be broken.

As an English native, my heart celebrated England's progression. During the match, I spoke with my brother, my family, my dear friend, Panzani. Hearing the emotion in his voice reminded me that this was never just another football match. This meant everything to him. It meant everything to his country. Through our conversation, I could hear the pride, the passion, the weight of history and the hope of an entire nation carried through ninety minutes of football.

Panzani is far more than an exceptional coach. He is one of the brightest football minds I know, a man of integrity, humility and purpose. More importantly, he is family. My admiration for him extends far beyond the game because of the way he carries himself and the love he has for his people.

Today wasn't simply England versus DR Congo.

It was two nations, two histories and two lifelong friends connected by a game that continues to unite the world.

Congratulations to England on moving forward.

And to DR Congo, hold your heads high. You made your nation proud. You inspired millions across Africa and beyond, and you proved that greatness is not only defined by advancing, but by the courage, heart and belief you display every time you step onto the pitch.

Football will always be bigger than the scoreboard.

Today was proof of that."

The highest level of coaching is not just passion for the game. It is understanding football on an IQ level that few can truly comprehend.

A good coach teaches.
A great coach still studies, still listens, still learns, and still follows the evolution of the game.

But the greatest coaches also understand this: simplicity matters. The foundations of football matter. The process cannot be rushed.

Too many players are pushed toward complexity before mastering the basics. True development is built through patience, repetition, discipline, and understanding the game at its core.

Because greatness is never rushed. It is developed. ⚽

Obsessed with the process.
Locked in on the details.
Different mentality. Different level.

Recovery. Discipline. Consistency. Film study. Nutrition. Obsession. That’s what separates players at the highest level.

Day by day. Rep by rep. Putting in the work when nobody’s watching. That’s where confidence is built. That’s where players separate themselves.

The difference is in the details.
