This month marks International Women’s Day on 8th March, celebrating the social, economic and cultural achievements of women while building momentum for gender equality.
Women’s wealth is rising fast, but the systems around it have not caught up. And much of what holds them back never makes it into official statistics.

Women do more than half of the world’s work, and nearly half of it goes unpaid. This is what that looks like in numbers:

∙ Women and girls carry out 12.5 billion hours of unpaid care work every day. Valued at minimum wage, that contribution would be worth at least $10.8 trillion annually, more than three times the size of the global tech industry. (Oxfam)
∙ An estimated 708 million women are outside the labour force entirely because of unpaid care responsibilities, compared to just 40 million men. (ILO, 2024)
∙ Men own an estimated US $105 trillion more wealth than women globally, more than four times the size of the entire US economy. (Oxfam, 2024)
∙ In Great Britain, there is virtually no gender wealth gap in people’s 20s, but by ages 60 to 69, women hold around 23% less wealth than men. (Women’s Budget Group, 2019)
∙ In the UK, 67% of women do not invest at all, compared with 56% of men. (HSBC UK, 2023)
∙ Globally, only one in three adults is financially literate, and women consistently score lower than men across countries. (GFLEC)
The wealth gap is not a mystery. It is an accounting problem.

2026 called, and it wants us Back 2 Work Chic! This week Team @ByRotation said goodbye to our iconic Mayfair townhouse after 15 months and moved into a very British townhouse 🇬🇧

The store was SUCH a great space for IRL sales and community activations, and my team and I are very excited about our new chapter back in the office as we translate all those experiences and connections into our core proposition – the game changing By Rotation app 📲🌎💥
