Witnessing you two become one surrounded by your favorite people was so special. Capturing the love you share is exactly why I love what I do.

A little appreciation for my second shooter/husband. 8 hours of driving, 8 hours of wedding coverage, and endless patience, creativity, and support. Thank you for keeping me calm, capturing beautiful moments, and being the best teammate. I know having your wife as your boss isn’t easy (hehe), but we make a pretty great team. 🤍

Tristan & Ella, thank you for letting us capture a little piece of your forever!

🌿 One of the prettiest swimming holes near San Antonio! 💦

Just outside of San Antonio near Medina Lake, Paradise Canyon is one of those hidden gems that’s perfect for a summer day with family or friends. After years of drought, it’s been amazing to see the Medina River flowing again and this beautiful spot full of life.

Spend the day swimming, floating, fishing, kayaking, picnicking, grilling, or simply relaxing along the river. You can even bring your own tube or rent one there! Day use is just $40 per carload (up to 5 people), making it an affordable day trip with family or friends.

If you want to make it a weekend getaway, Paradise Canyon also offers primitive tent camping, RV sites, cozy cabins, and a lodge that’s perfect for family reunions, weddings, retreats, and other special events.

They’re open daily from 10 AM–6 PM, and if you’re able to visit during the week, I highly recommend it. It’s much more peaceful, and you’ll have an easier time enjoying everything this beautiful place has to offer.

Turns out clarity doesn't come from pushing harder, it comes from stepping away long enough to hear yourself think.

Paradise Canyon today after work with my family gave me exactly the opportunity to ground that I needed.

🚗 TX Summer Bucket List Pt. 12: Load Up the Car & Go on a Day Trip 🚗

Growing up in the Hill Country, @paradisecanyon was a regular summer spot for me and my family. We’d leave early in the morning, take the short 1-hour drive out to Rio Medina, TX, and spend the entire day by the water.

Did you know Paradise Canyon has been open since 1957? Generations of Texans have made similar memories here, making its significance that much greater!

What’s your favorite summertime, childhood memory?

Comment “Texas travel” for my go-to resource for amazing, affordable Texas trips.
