Forest 🌳⚽️🌳

Brilliant Day yesterday in @officialnffc training ground to support the @faifingalty programme squad lead by Denis Hyland.

Great to see current student @andrew_corbett03 doing his work with the group 💪💪💪 and @paragonbyfowler supporting the GKs 👊

A really competitive game, with Forest the better team overall and deserved 2-1 winners with a late goal. Still lots of positives to take for the Irish lads, alongside some key learnings and work-ons.

The game was played in stifling heat 34🌡️ that felt like 44🌡️ on the 4G pitch 😅😅😅☀️☀️☀️

Players were a credit to their clubs and schools putting in a massive physical shift in the conditions.

A long but thoroughly enjoyable day and a great experience.

Brilliant for the players to meet Andy Reid and hear about his role and plans in the Academy.

It’s exciting times as the @andyreidelitesocceracademy kicks into action in September 🙌

More important than all of that…

The kind of dedication you respect,

Thanks to @paragonbyfowler for looking after me with gloves for the centenary shield series 2026. Disappointment that that our opening game V wales was abandoned due to weather just before kickoff. We now look forward to 2 home games v Scotland and Northern Ireland.
