Watching @officialalterbridge with an orchestra really was something special! Was lucky enough to grab the cd/dvd deluxe boxset and a couple of different vinyl variants of the show too

From The Archives

A selection of compositions, recorded at the legendary AIR Studios in 2023, is finally available on streaming.

Recording alongside such talented musicians and engineers was a truly special experience, and one I’ll never forget.

These pieces are part of a series of releases from my archives. Throughout the summer, @premiumbeat and I will be making some of my most meaningful work available on streaming across different albums and singles.

Exactly 10 years ago today my life changed. I was honoured to conduct the newly formed @parallaxorchestra along side their goth sibling @choirnoir in a full orchestra metal show with the mighty @bringmethehorizon at the @royalalberthall

Life had the loudness turned down a little after that and I’ve chased that feeling in my career ever since.

I didn’t know 10 years ago that my concert opening Overture would have 40,000,000 views, that I would have worked on so many incredible records, and with so many mind blowing artists and conducted so many orchestras around the world. So I’m humbled and full of gratitude. Big up my fellow music nerds @willharvey1 @cestratheportal and @jordanfish86 who helped to make it all possible, and without whom I probably wouldn’t be where I am today.

I genuinely HATE how Instagram handles music copyrights man, like what the hell am i supposed to do with a 30-second limit when the song is a 5-minuter?!
Rant aside, i think we don’t say it enough, growing up listening to bands like Alter Bridge will always be something special. This version of Slip To The Void by AB featuring the Parallax Orchestra exactly explains what i’m tryna say. You can see how damn tight they are as a a unit, Myles Kennedy, Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall, Scott Phillips, everyone’s just so locked in!
Can’t end the caption without speaking about the part when the orchestra joins in, it adds so much cinematic feel to the vibe, it honestly makes sense that this song was used in Apollo 18, that slow buildup going into THAT heavy drop fits the mood perfectly!

This one is really special for me.

A Collection of Memories is a curated album of songs that I wrote between 2019 and 2023. All of these songs were recorded at either Abbey Road or AIR Studios.

When I first got approached to do one of these sessions, it came as a dream come true. To be candid about how these sessions worked it was simple, write music that (hopefully) didn’t suck and then record these songs with the kindest and most incredible musicians out there. Creatively, I was lucky enough to be given pretty much no boundaries. Total freedom to write whatever felt good and if ever I felt stuck or needed any kind of feedback I had the greatest support system around me to chat about how we could make this music better (and lots of chats were had about this!). It goes without saying that being part of such an amazing environment really helped me thrive to write music that I’m still really proud of to this day.

There’s a village of people involved in making all of this come to life and with AI being prevalent in so many industries (including the music industry), I’m so proud to say that this music was entirely human made. From world class musicians, the entire studio team, recording engineers, the orchestration & score prep team, conductors, mixing and mastering engineers, each song has gone through dozens of people’s touch, expertise and skillset that no machine could ever replicate. These songs are made with imperfections (mostly my own) and that’s what makes them perfect to me.

This music has been in the licensing world for a number of years now and has lived a life of its own appearing in more things than I can even keep track of. You may have even heard one of these songs in the background of a movie or a commercial and while I never take moments like these for granted, I’ve been hoping for a while to release this music commercially. I feel immensely proud to finally be able to share this music with you today and I really hope one of these songs clicks with you.

2025 you were a hell of a year. Huge thanks to all the great bands and artists that came through Beehive Studio to write and/or record a song, and to everyone who sent me something to mix, it’s been a pleasure.

Thanks to my brothers in @hundredreasonsband , Adam Greenup at @sorecordings , @shaun.faulkner.xray at @xraytouring , @alandayrocks at @actionpresents , @parallaxorchestra , @alexdaviesmusic and everyone who came to the Albert Hall (especially my sister @maughamclaire who played violin). That was a bit epic wasn’t it?!
