Just look at this beauty!! We are completely in love with our new chalkboard that @calebscustomwoodworking dreamt up for us. His innovation and craftsmanship really shine through in this piece and he was such a pleasure to work with. We love being able to use local artisans and we are lucky to have so much talent right here in the Burgh! And of course we have to thank our lovely @wegmills for always keeping the board looking beautiful with her mad skills 👩🏻‍🎨

Did you know Instagram has a character limit of 2,200 characters per post? No? Neither did I. Going to start (trying) to keep this a bit shorter but no less sweet. -- Shoutout #4: Caleb Cisco (@calebcustomwoodworking) -- Caleb is a brilliantly talented and skilled wood-worker, an excellent cook, a superb cocktail maker and creator, and an ultra marathon runner. But first and foremost, he is a wonderful neighborhood friend--one of several I’ve had the pleasure of meeting at the @pearandpickle cafe over the years (including @josephwymanphoto who I posted about the other day!). -- I procured a blackboard the other week for some additional set decor. It had an unfinished light pine wooden frame, which, hanging on the wall behind me, ended up visually popping out too much, especially against the dark brick of the wall. Took it to Caleb to ask about some info around staining the frame a darker color and what that would take. A few days later, spent an hour with Caleb as he sanded the frame, wiped it clean, sanded it again with a finer grit, wiped it clean once again, and then proceeded to stain it with a high quality black stain he had on hand. I kept him company. And bought him lunch! (from the @pearandpickle of course).
