POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Listen now // ATTUNED (Vol. 11) We’re excited to share this season’s playlist, a collaboration with musician, sound artist, and curator Rebecca Gates (@parcematone). Drawn from decades investigating how sound shapes the spaces we move through, Rebecca built this playlist around what autumn evokes for her: an expansion of reflection and relaxation, bumping up against the returning cool. “It means a quieting, but into active quiet, a generative slowing. Purple corduroys. Fresh paper and pencils, new tools. I’m always ready for the high hum of summer to recede.” Stream the newest edition of our Attuned playlist series, and read our full conversation with @parcematone (full of rich insights on a life of making) now live on our Substack, BEAUTY SCHOOL. SEATTLE🩷 thank you for being the best possible last night of our west coast tour show. Thank you Jack Weiss for being the best possible first tour manager we've ever had. Thank you Jack Weiss for making this poster on the drive from Portland to Seattle. Thank you Sunset Tavern for being the best possible venue for the last show of the tour. Thank you Colin Seven for saving the day, bringing every inch of gear we used that night and playing a brilliant opening set, including a blink of an eye Hated/Moss Icon mash up cover to begin. Thank you Storey and Rebecca for becoming friends and playing beautiful music that broke our hearts. Thank you to very old and dear friends who came out, and to new ones who wanted the guitar tunings and brought old merch for us to sign. Thanks to everyone who helped us load out in record time so that Jean could finally get to bed at a reasonable hour. I'm watching the US Open right now I can't believe they are still playing tennis it's after 3am❤️

This Women’s History Month, SEGD CEO @cybelle_jones_designjoy reflects on curiosity—and the women who shape design. In this carousel, she shares six lessons on following the thread of connection and finding your people. After reading, ask yourself: Who is the person you’ve been meaning to reach out to? The designer, the thinker, the maker whose work makes you stop and think, “I wish I had done that.” The one whose email has been sitting in your drafts. Maybe even a competitor. Send it. ✉️ The worst that happens is silence. Go find your people. 🔗 Read the full article in our link in bio
