« Echoes » & « Younger »

These two abstract works, each measuring 120 × 130 cm, can be presented individually or as a diptych.

They explore the dialogue between geometry, organic curves and colour, creating compositions in which shapes overlap, intersect and flow into one another. Bold colour fields, contrasts and subtle gradients bring a sense of depth and movement, while the geometric structures give the compositions a precise and balanced framework.

Each work is conceived as an autonomous piece, with its own rhythm and visual identity. Presented together, however, they create a broader visual dialogue, with shapes and colours echoing one another across the two canvases. Each painting becomes both an independent composition and a continuation of the other.

Gestures of Hues - Cobalt Blue

In this monochromatic variation of Gestures of Hues, the palette is reduced to a single colour: cobalt blue.

Across five individual works, intuitive gestures and variations in intensity create a shifting visual rhythm. Built through successive layers of colour, each composition explores the depth and expressive potential of a single hue, while the relationship between painted surfaces, light and shadow gives the colour a changing presence.

The apparent simplicity of the monochromatic palette becomes a space for experimentation. Within the limits of one colour, differences in scale, density and rhythm generate distinct sensations and visual tensions.

Gestures of Hues - Cobalt Blue is ultimately an exploration of how a single colour can create movement, balance and space through its relationship with light, form and repetition.

Gestures of Hues

Gestures of Hues transforms an intimate part of my artistic process into a sculptural form. Rather than using sketchbooks to plan future paintings, I use them as spaces for colour research, exploring spontaneous combinations and building my own personal colour charts.

I apply paint directly with my fingers, creating traces, layers and unexpected relationships between hues. These gestures become a way of testing, discovering and composing colour through an instinctive and tactile process.

With Gestures of Hues, these private colour studies leave the pages of the sketchbook and take on a physical, three-dimensional presence. The sculpture becomes a materialisation of this research, a collection of gestures, encounters and colour associations translated from the intimate scale of the notebook into space.
