"It takes the hood to save the hood." - @united_playaz @bigrut415. Been thankful to have rocked for U.P. coming up on 10 years. This year had the dopest line up of Bay Area artists that paved the way since the 90s & made a huge impact in Hip Hop, including my favorite! @officialkeakdasneak! Salute to @blackc @rblposse @therealmacmall @chuygomez @p_lo @gderty650 as well for blessings us & those that were invited. Didnt DJ for Keak but I was holding down the levels for the mic and his DJ @official_hermanata_ is super cool too. RIP @traxamillion who made all our favorite hyphy slapz including this one. 🙏🏽. Thanks @paul_stylez for recording and your assistance. - DJ Eternal @theupliftersllc @paremovement

KEAK DA SNEAK IS LEGENDARY! Last Saturday, I was thinking of doing a mix on him, & Tuesday I just found out he'd be performing at my gig with @united_playaz. I told him Im gonna do a tribute mix on him, & he said "fuck yea!" And we both started laughing, but I was laughing hella hard. Hahaha. Humble and talented dude. Ill be posting this pic a lot. @officialkeakdasneak you are legendary and put hyphy on the map with @traxamillion (RIP) I dont care what anyone says! You did that king!

Besides staying wit my grandparents my family was the only connection I had wit the culture growin up. Now that I’m older I’m understanding that it’s our responsibility to learn nd embrace a culture we had such limited knowledge of. I’ve always noticed the divide between us especially being a bay baby cause we fa sho do it a lil different. Never really felt like there was a place or representation for us til I started rockin wit the @paremovement whether u up on game or not this shit a perfect example of what Filipino American History Month mean to me. Same same but different but still puttin on for the people s/o to all my pares let’s keep this shit pushin 🦍🇵🇭🦍🇵🇭
