Please help me congratulate this week’s Bryan Jenkins State Farm Athlete of the Week PARIS HAMMER.

Paris, a Sr. Smith-Cotton high school softball player is our first Smith-Cotton softball player athlete of the week. According to Coach Amy Miller; “Paris Hammer is hitting .429 this season. She hits 4th in our lineup with a on base percentage .515. Not only is Hammer a force offensively but she is a leader in the circle with 4 wins and 55 trike outs and an era 3.55. She is a leader on and off the field. She also keeps up her academics and is 8 in her class of 365."

When not dominating on the field, Paris keeps busy with being a member of JAG and of course, a member of National Honor Society.

Paris and the rest of the team have played every day this week and will have games today, Friday and Saturday...PHEW! Best of luck against Marshall tonight, Paris

Upon graduation this spring, Paris's dream is to play softball in college while she pursues a degree and Secondary Education in Mathematics.

Congratulations, Paris! Keep up the dedication and hard work in all you do.

there have been many “lasts” lately, but these two have definitely been my hardest goodbyes. i can’t remember life before playing softball and soccer. these sports have given me my best memories, my closest friends, and allowed me to experience the true meaning of joy.
to my softball girls, i will miss nothing more than stepping on the field with some of my favorite people. i will forever cherish the dugout talks, curbside dinners, bus concerts, sleepovers, bow and poster parties, photoshoots, inside jokes, pre inning huddles, and making the most of every moment together. earning all district and defensive player of the year are a representation of the endless love i have for this game. can’t wait to support you guys in the years to come!
to my soccer girls, i’m so grateful that i was able to grow up playing with the same group of girls my whole life. capping off my last year by earning the district title was the perfect way to end our journey together. i will always remember the team dinners, pre game country jams, endless tiktoks, woo tangs, game day brunches, and the successful moments we’ve created in this program. i know you guys will continue to work hard, and i can’t wait to watch you do it!
i will miss all of you girls so much!!
thank you SC for giving me the opportunity to live the best times of my life through these programs.
