We are pleased to announce that our project, Alexan Camellia celebrated two Gold Nugget Awards this week!

The project earned a Merit Award for Best Multifamily Housing Community (100 DU/Acres or More). As the first residential development built on San Diego’s Convoy Street, Alexan Camellia brings more than 500 new homes to the Convoy Asian Cultural District. The project helps to establish a walkable residential neighborhood with the introduction of housing, active public spaces, and a strong sense of community to an area long defined by its commercial character.

The project’s interiors by Parisa O’Connell were also recognized in a big way, with Best Interior Design of a Multifamily Community. O’Connell and team created a cohesive, layered design that gives the amenity spaces a distinct sense of identity while supporting the overall character of the community.

We are honored for this recognition, and thank our client, Trammel Crow Residential, our internal and external teams, and the PCBC Gold Nugget Awards.

I recently had the pleasure of working with a variety of longtime clients capturing the newly completed project Alexan Camellia. Alexan Camellia puts you at the intersection of the Convoy District – one of San Diego’s most dynamic, cultural and delicious neighborhoods. Outside, you’re surrounded by an endless list of international menus, foodie faves, local hot spots and in-the-know destinations. Inside, a beautiful retreat awaits, filled with modern apartments, styled amenities and a few surprises. Eager to get back and capture the additional phase still under construction. @jwda_architects @parisaoconnell @eptdesign @alexancamelliasd @Trammelcrow

Three years ago, we took on a full gut renovation with one goal in mind: to create a chic, multifunctional studio where any vision could come to life. With the help of @parisaoconnell an incredible interior designer and an amazing construction team, this space truly became everything we dreamed of and more. Designed to welcome everyone and host events of all kinds 🤍
