A massive thank you to Parker Pubs
For sending me a copy of this magnificent book:

Now available — The new book BEATMAKERS OF L.A. UNDERGROUND HIP HOP features autobiographical oral history of beatmakers of the Good Life, Project Blowed, and early L.A. Beat Scene: JMD (Freestyle Fellowship), Fat Jack (Abstract Tribe Unique), Chillin Villain Empire, Sach (The Nonce), Omid Walizadeh, Mumbles, Deeskee, Nobody, Thavius Beck, and Daedelus.

Based on 65 hours of new interviews, these ten chapters explore albums such as Innercity Griots, Project Blowed, All Balls Don’t Bounce, World Ultimate, A Book of Human Language, Beneath the Surface, Cater to the DJ, Soulmates, and many more. Featuring additional interviews with Abstract Rude, AWOL One, Medusa, J Sw!ft (The Pharcyde), O-Roc, Stacey Dee, Neila, Xololanxinxo, Existereo, Radioinactive, Jizzm, Circus, and more. Hosted by 2Mex (Of Mexican Descent / The Visionaries).

“Spoken directly by the artists themselves, this book shines light on the beatmakers who crafted the sonic fabric of the golden era of Los Angeles underground hip hop.”—2Mex

Big up to @parker_pubs and @bassnfaders for hosting this event and bringing together the legends of the Los Angeles underground producers, and beat makers. Before the any beat scene these creatives pushed the sound of Los Angeles underground HIPHOP worldwide. Breaking boundaries , innovating with technology and talent. Always a honor to congregate and fellowship with my brothers, Comrads, mentors and influences. Big up the crews, the MCs and all the fam that pulled up to celebrate the book BeatMakers of the LA Underground . If your ever freestyled at @projectblowedmcs or the Goodlife . Went to any underground show in the 90s up until now. You have heard these beatmakers . NUFF Respect!!
