Sometimes scrolling on a Sunday night lands you in a cabin in the woods on Wednesday afternoon👌🏼

Last week I felt a little nudge to take my kiddos on an adventure to experience the change in seasons. We homeschool and I just love that flexibility for us!

I opened instagram and @parkerreserve popped up on my feed like the answer to my prayers. They had an opening and that was that!

The 2 hour trip from Cleveland to Columbus was an easy roadtrip and we had an amazing time. The cabin was big enough I was also able to invite my parents to join us. So many memories to cherish.

I have this vision now of our family returning over the coming years and watching my children grow in a place that really feels like a home away from home.

The hosts were so wonderful, I cannot recommend staying in one of their stunning properties enough.

I’ve traveled the world but, a few days with my family in our home state of Ohio was one of my favorite trips ever.

My only advice would be to book a longer stay👌🏼

With luxurious amenities, incredible hosts and acres of nature to play, rest and restore- @parkerreserve is the ideal home away from home.

Just north of Columbus, this natural oasis is tucked in the woods, minutes away from Galena’s town center, hiking trails and lots of outdoor recreation, and somehow just 10 minutes from major shopping centers like Ikea, Tanger Outlets and Polaris Shopping Mall.

But really, the natural swimming pond, playground and peaceful setting were all we really needed.

And did I mention they have the friendliest chickens and fresh eggs for guests?

The A-frame cabin sleeps 10 comfortably, with 3 full bathrooms (including a tub) and everything you need for a family.

My favorite memories? Glad you asked 😉

-my children taking it all in with lota of “mom! Look at this!”
-my dad and my son fishing off the huge porch
-my girls floating in the natural pond
-going down the water slide- next time I’ll remember to take off my glasses first 😆
-laying with my daughter in the hammock and watching the sun come through the falling leaves
- my mom collecting her first ever fresh egg
-all the books around the house that invited me to pause and sit, even if just for a moment
- the french press coffee maker
-watching my mom teach my son to make a fresh poached egg
- sharing it all with you bc you will love it, too🫶

Go check our their bio, currently offering $100 off your stay🍂

My only complaint is that we had to leave🍂

Thank you @parkerreserve for the loveliest stay.

Check out their bio for $100 off your stay so you can also enjoy this gorgeous A-frame cabin nestled in the woods beside a natural spring fed pond , with a fallen tree playground and the friendliest chickens you ever did meet - and unwind for a few days.

You won’t regret it.

Located in Galena, Ohio- just north of Columbus, the cabin is located in a few quiet acres but also less than 10 minutes to restaurants, hiking and shopping. Since we were only 12 minutes from Ikea, we stopped for some Swedish meatballs before heading back to Cleveleand.

5 tickets available for our September Supper Club

For September’s Supper Club, we’re bringing out the A team - some of the most talented kitchen staff at Agni, that is.

This includes Naomi whose accreditations include Japan’s respected chorishi menkyu certification as well as further training in sushi preparation in at a highly regarded culinary school in Tokyo. Naomi then went on to accumulate further kitchen experience by staging at restaurants as varied as one in a small mountain village in Mexico and a 3 Michelin star restaurant in Japan. After completing her time locally at Chapman’s Eat Market, she moved on to Agni where she’s been since 2023.

Joining Naomi will be JJ Garlock, the highly respected Chef de Cuisine at Agni and inarguably one of the most talented chefs in the city. Together, they’ve put together an 8 course menu that slyly melds East Asian inspiration with the freshest and most desirable of late summer’s local bounty. The creativity and fun they’ve had in sequencing the courses absolutely leaps off of the page, and the juxtaposition of the familiar and the novel is cleverly calibrated to take you on a truly delectable culinary adventure.

We hope you can join us on September 30th for the only time you’ll be able to experience this one-of-a-kind menu. It’s sure to be great!

I’ve officially retired the blazer + laptop branding shoot.

This time, I wanted something that actually felt like me. 70s inspired, fashion-forward, feminine, a little unexpected.

My mom Jen recently joined the business as our Director of Business, so obviously she had to be part of it too.

With Dreamboat Annie as my favorite album of all time and the Parker Reserve A-Frame as our backdrop, the vision just made sense.

Consider this your sign that your branding can be professional AND creative. You don’t have to choose.

Such an honor to work on this one-of-a-kind home and help restore it with the original architect for the remodel.

Follow along to see the process and final results!

It’s always a treat to watch the culinary wizardry of Columbus’ most talented chefs.

Last night our supper club hosted Chef Jeremy Nelson of @umbralsupperclub and we were impressed by both his technical prowess and creative flavors. Standouts included the watermelon carpaccio, duck with fermented cherries and kanzuri, honeydew thai basil sherbet, and caramelized milk bread with donut peaches, miso ice cream and foie butter.

To learn about future supper clubs please make sure you’re on our email list.
