This picture deserves a permanent spot for the world to see. I’m forever grateful that Eva captured this moment of Ivar.
I could say a million things about this kid. But nothing ever comes close to how much of a privilege it is to be blessed to be his mom. Yesterday we attended the company April Birthdays party at Sid’s old bosses and Sid’s last house. They had a little table set up for Sid and watching Ivar see it my heart broke. Uncle Sid was and still is a daily constant in this kids life. Anytime Uncle Sid was coming over we’d have to tell him “remember to be on your best behavior and not get too excited” bc it was always like a kid waiting for his birthday to open his presents. Uncle Sid and Aunty Em are 2 of his and the other boys favorite people. I know God brought Sid back into Jonny’s life and Em into our lives for a reason.
Watching Ivar talk about Sid, talk to him and God in the clouds and in Sids truck has broken my heart in an entirely different way. Grief affects us all, it’s just a fact of life. Death is guaranteed, it’s not an if it’s a when.
While I absolutely hate that Sids time here was cut so short, and the boys lost so much time they should have had with him and he lost so much time with Em. I’m forever grateful for the time we did get. And the memories my boys have and the love that Ivar has and is extending to all around him. As he says “he’s racing with uncle Sid this year” and he’s “always with us, watching from the clouds”
Fly high Sid, say hi to all the amazing people up there with you, we’ll all meet again someday when God calls us all home. But until then, Ivar and all of us have you in our hearts.

Missoula fam reunion ❤️‍🔥 It was so special being back in town with the crew - just like the good ol’ days 🥹🤘🏻 Life is a wild ride and I am so grateful to share these precious memories with amazing people. Returning to your old home is like reading a book you loved as a kid. The words are the same, but the meaning has changed. Missoula community is forever in my heart 🫶🏻 I freaking love parkour and all the people I’ve gotten to know and all the places I’ve gotten to see 😇 So grateful for my bb @jessjayy for being the best co-pilot on the 16.5 hour drive 😘😘
