Northside’s annual neighborhood-wide yard sale extravaganza is back this year 9am-2pm on Sat 8 Aug!

This event takes place in conjunction with the @127yardsale–4 days, 6 states and 690 miles of shopping fun stretching from Alabama to Michigan and, of course, making its way through our neighborhood!

Your Northside home or business can be your yard sale location, or you can join @parprojects for the group sale at @caincincy, 4230 Hamilton Ave., where the Poverty Liberation Coalition and @thirdwaypeacefellowship will be hosting the 2nd annual Repair Fair.

Rooted in mutual aid, the Repair Fair is a chance to come together to practice skill and knowledge sharing. Bring an item to repair, and join the group for a free community cookout!

The Northside Summer Market registration deadline is Tue 28 Jul (TOMORROW!). For more information and to keep up with event updates, please follow @parprojects!

My new piece, “Corpus (Training Data),” is currently on display at @parprojects as part of #BrainCase, A Skull Art Show. The backing is a player piano scroll and the circuit board is from a digital time clock (the kind you would punch to count your hours). These material represent the automation of human creativity over time and the use of our creative outputs to train AI models.

@parprojects is kicking off celebrations for Juneteenth in Cincinnati with its 3rd annual Juneteenth Eve party on Hoffner St.! Stop by 6-10pm on Thu 18 Jun for a cookout and take one last look at Materials Reclaimed, an exhibition featuring the works of SLiNK Love and Sarah Rodriguez.

This event is FREE and open to the public.

PAR-Projects is an artist-led organization with a mission to empower diverse communities of people who believe in the arts. As educators, they provide workshops and classes related to career development and skills training. As working artists, they enjoy hosting thought provoking exhibitions and large-scale collaborations throughout Greater Cincinnati.

PAR-Projects is currently in the midst of a major community development project that is transforming 3/4 of an acre of blighted land into a contemporary arts and education center. Within their campus they currently host a fine art gallery and a number of creativity-focused artist studios.

As development continues, they will open an outdoor performance stage and outdoor movie theater, truly designed as a place to gather.

What is Juneteenth? On June 19, 1865, more than two years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation, Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas to announce that the more than 250,000 enslaved Black people in the state were free by executive decree. Juneteenth honors the end of slavery in the US and is considered the longest-running African American holiday.

This commemoration of African American freedom has been a Federal holiday since 2021. It is celebrated on 19 Jun every year.
