🇬🇧 I had to climb a mountain to get some ideas so I could write about my friend Laura. Well, it wasn' t really a mountain, just a small hill ... and it was cold, rainy and the wind was coming from the wrong direction ... Anyway!!
How could I empathize with and truly understand the experience of someone who is hiking miles across the Atacama Desert? One who was confronted with masses of water in southern Patagonia a few months earlier? I don' t experience, what she is experiencing at the moment, I don' t feel, what she feels, I don' t suffer like she does. Therefore, she has other priorities, other goals, other hopes and dreams. And also other thoughts. I am so infinitely happy to be able to connect with her and benefit from her experiences, that she is so happy to share.
If one day you're lucky enough to meet Laura, you will encounter wisdom, intelligence, great humor, happiness, unbreakable willpower, a clear vision and, above all, a heart full of courage and kindness.
💗 Thanks a million, Laura!!

"The outstanding feature of today's march is that we have seen new land to the south - land never seen by human eyes before. [...] These heights we did not see on our journey south on the last expedition, for we were too close to the land or, rather, foothills, but now at the great distance we are out they can be seen plainly", Sir Ernest Shackleton, in: The Heart of the Antarctic and South.](https://s8.imginn.com/498638154_2451832138488264_8079264303667860030_n.jpg?t51.71878-15/498638154_2451832138488264_8079264303667860030_n.jpg?stp=dst-jpg_e15_p320x320_tt6&_nc_cat=101&ig_cache_key=MzIxNTAyMzMzMTE0ODYzNDA1MQ%3D%3D.3-ccb7-5&ccb=7-5&_nc_sid=58cdad&efg=eyJ2ZW5jb2RlX3RhZyI6IkNMSVBTLnhwaWRzLjQzOS5zZHIudmlkZW9fZGVmYXVsdF9jb3Zlcl9mcmFtZS5DMyJ9&_nc_ohc=HG-rJBWuLeMQ7kNvwH9alRE&_nc_oc=AdosMU5CscHGhGYcyf2FV7R1vXT2_hTOM8Dxy34NzS7vWxXU-Tg4c8263TkdHU0wLAem8Vr2ptKliSIMFUppii2A&_nc_ad=z-m&_nc_cid=0&_nc_zt=23&_nc_ht=scontent-lga3-2.cdninstagram.com&_nc_gid=flnmpMZg_PwDwLyPQDDtaw&_nc_ss=7a20f&oh=00_AQMONa3KvoXhoOsfJ5jVSsAugISwsotvU7_xk581t5qydw&oe=6AE4D457)
