The body of the lamp is the body of a doll holding a rabbit! This started as a candleholder from the wonderful @parrishplatz. I mounted it on a base and painted both a hammered silver before adding the red to both the girl and the rabbit. Finished with a paddle socket, black fabric shade, and red cloth covered wire wrapping around the doll and ending with an antique replica plug.

Got this amazing concrete baby doll planter from the super-talented @parrishplatz at @odditiesandcuriositiesmarket last weekend, along with three more incredible pieces. Painted black first and then added blue and a little red before mounting it on a wood base with a recessed porcelain socket and LED Bulb.

Happy July! We are so excited to be hosting so many events this month!

You can catch @thorns.and.threads on First Friday from 11-8. Kay specializes in bags and purses created with fun, upcycled fabrics, as well as rare plants! Be sure to drop by and say hi!

We will be hosting FOUR classes this month! Our class with @theterroriumshop is sold out, but there’s still time to enroll for our entomological pinning classes. Our dear friend @parrishplatz will be joining us again to teach a Faux Rat Skeleton class on the 19th.

Community Night will be held on the 15th, and we’ll be hosting another Metal Belly Dancing Class with @fierypen on the 5th. And don’t forever about Metal Yoga with @rhi_wild_bodywork_ !

We’re ready for a great month. See you soon! 💀✨

Our first Baba Yaga House class! Some of my favorite classes to offer the the ones that our students can show off their creative vs. their technical side! The results couldn’t have been more different in the end! Keep an eye out because I’m sure our amazing teacher Jen will teach this class again!
