Three years ago, @normal.nyc hosted its first retail event, what a journey has it been ever since. What began as a small idea has grown step by step into something real, shaped by every space we’ve stepped into and every person who has been part of it. From our early days to taking over places like Barneys, Manhattan Mall, and One Hanson, each chapter has taught me and my team how to think bigger, stay grounded, and keep building with intention. There have been moments of pressure, a lot of learning, and constant evolution, but always with a focus on creating something meaningful, sustainable, and rooted in community. One of the most rewarding parts of growing this retail platform has been the community we’ve built with our brands. We’ve grown alongside so many of them, including those who used our shows as their first entry into physical retail. Seeing them test their ideas, reach their goals, meet their customers in real life, and build something of their own has been one of the most meaningful parts of this journey. Next week, we begin our Union Square residency. This one feels especially important. A new scale, a new rhythm, and a chance to refine everything we’ve been building into something even more focused and thoughtful. I feel proud of the path that brought us here, and genuinely excited to continue growing this in a way that supports our community, our vendors, and the future we’re working toward. Inside our Not-A-Normal Show there’s a room dedicated to creation. Our Studio Room, built together with Handle With Care, is where vendors step in to create the visual assets that help their brands move forward digitally, from product studies and portraits to imagery designed for their online retail environments. Running a brand today means constantly producing content that can live across websites, campaigns, and social platforms. The studio gives our community the space to do that while they’re part of the show. The long term vision is to keep expanding this idea and growing it into a full production house working across motion, stills, branding, merchandising strategy, and store design. Because supporting independent brands has always been at the center of Normal. Studio slots for our Spring Shows will launch this week and will be limited.

Thank you so much to every brand and every visitor who joined us this past weekend for our first show at One Hanson Place. Our 14th New York edition, and our most exclusive brand lineup to date, felt like a defining moment. The energy throughout the weekend was undeniable. In one of Brooklyn’s most historical spaces, our community showed up fully, even through a blizzard. This show also marked the debut of our in-house content production studio by Handle with Care, expanding how we support our vendors beyond the three-day marketplace and continuing to build long-term visibility for independent brands. Next, we move to Union Square and taking over a great building. We are preparing to release vendor applications for five upcoming shows in April, May, and June, our most intentional season yet, in the heart of Manhattan. Dates are live on our website.
