Pausing the art posts, as it’s already been a fortnight and I’m only just finally catching a moment to look back a totally wonderful weekend full of chest-heaving pride in my friends.

I cannot express the joy of seeing my darling @thewannadiesofficial put a smile on every face at @visorfest in Valencia.

A totally knockout set. 1.5 hours. All killers, zero fillers. Heart explosion right there.

My first time at this event and it was such great fun. A complete nostalgia-fest with amazing performances from some of my favourite bands, and long-overdue reunions with some of my favourite people. (Too few decent photos of either!)

But also filled with some seriously emotional moments, where the presence of @greenpeace boat Arctic Sunrise - coincidentally docked in the marina - made so many songs even more poignant. The Damned ‘I Just Can’t Be Happy Today’, Ocean Colour Scene ‘Profit In Peace’ and too many Manics to mention… (And definitely too few photos of them!)

Then back to London and straight to the @vamuseum for a special 40th anniversary screening of The Labyrinth, followed by a Q&A with another of my oldest and dearest, Brian Henson. Another heart explosion right there.

So much blooming pride in so much blooming talent. So much gratitude for so many years of inspiration.

Now back to the art - and how! Frieze week incoming.. hold tight!

7” version of the first single to be taken from The Wannadies’ second album, ”Aquanautic”, released on Snap in 1992. It was the only single taken from the album that was given a vinyl release.

”Cherry man” was the final single taken from The Wannadies’ second album, ”Aquanautic”. The album came out on Snap in 1992, and this EP came out the year after. It includes three cover versions; ”Lee Remick” by The Go-Betweens, ”I’m a man” by the Spencer Davis Group, and ”Blister in the sun” by Violent Femmes.
